Focus shifts to protecting mechanical and electrical infrastructure — battery rooms, UPS gallery, chiller plant, generator rooms, switchgear rooms.
- Battery room: neutralize acid spills; check eyewash stations.
- Generator room: fuel spill containment; dust control on radiators.
- Switchgear: dust and IR-scan preparation cleaning.
- Chiller plant: coil cleaning and condensate management.
What They Have in Common
Both require background-checked, escorted, or badged crews with documented training. Both should follow written work permits with named supervisor sign-off. Neither is standard janitorial work.
