Removal Methods
Steam
The industry standard. Handheld steam wand loosens gum in 3-5 seconds; wipe with cloth. Effective, non-damaging, minimal water use.
Chemical Freeze
Aerosol freezes gum to brittle; scrape with putty knife. Best for small quantities or interior surfaces where steam isn't feasible.
Chemical Solvent
Commercial gum-remover chemistry with agitation. Works but requires rinse and creates chemical runoff — stormwater considerations.
Frequency
High-traffic retail and restaurant entrances: monthly. Standard commercial: quarterly.
Route-Based Gum Removal
