Stain Age Matters
Fresh spills (under 24 hours) — cover with absorbent (kitty litter, oil-dry) immediately. Do not water in. Old stains (over a month) — will require poultice or hot pressure washing to reach oil that has migrated below the surface.
The Removal Process
- Sweep and absorb any surface oil.
- Apply commercial degreaser (alkaline or citrus-based).
- Agitate with stiff brush.
- Dwell 10-20 minutes without drying.
- Hot-water pressure wash at 3,000-4,000 PSI.
- For deep stains: repeat, or apply diatomaceous earth poultice and leave 24-48 hours.
