Between-Case Cleaning
- Disinfect dental table with veterinary-grade disinfectant.
- Change absorbent pads.
- Disinfect all handpieces and ultrasonic scalers per manufacturer.
- Wipe overhead lights and any surfaces touched during the procedure.
- Restock supplies.
Terminal Clean
Full wipe-down of walls up to 6 feet, floors mopped wall-to-wall, dental table fully disassembled and cleaned, x-ray sensor disinfected, and compressor/scaler lines flushed per manufacturer. Total time typically 20-30 minutes.
Aerosol Management
Suites should have high-volume evacuation and, ideally, HEPA air scrubbers. Cleaning crew should not enter for at least 15 minutes after procedure completion to allow aerosol settling.
