Routine Cleaning Scope
- Sweep and damp mop floor with degreasing detergent.
- Wipe generator housing exteriors (never touch controls or wiring).
- Clean radiator intake screens — critical for cooling performance.
- Wipe fuel day-tank exterior; report any weeps or drips.
- Clean exhaust silencer external surfaces.
- Empty and clean drip pans under fuel connections.
Fuel Spill Response
Small drips: absorb with pads, dispose per SDS. Larger spills: evacuate, notify facility, do not use anything that could spark. Diesel is less volatile than gasoline but vapor is still combustible.
Coordination with Load Bank Testing
Monthly load bank tests create heat and dust. Schedule cleaning within 48 hours after tests to capture accumulated debris while it's easiest to remove.
